The OCC WebApp is keyboard accessible, allowing the web users to quickly and efficiently navigate the website using the keyboard. By pressing ALT (PC) or CTRL (Mac) followed by the defined key on the keyboard, the users can skip to certain web pages or content.
Following is a list of the defined shortcut keys and their definitions.
Alt/Ctrl + H skips to Homepage
Alt/Ctrl + B skips to Keyboard Shortcut Definitions page
Alt/Ctrl + N skips to NCI website (Cancer.gov)
Alt/Ctrl + M skips to Sitemap page
Alt/Ctrl + Q skips to FAQs
Alt/Ctrl + K expands or collapses OCC Announcements on the Homepage
Alt/Ctrl + 1 skips to Cancer Centers page
Alt/Ctrl + 2 skips to Grants & Funding page
Alt/Ctrl + 3 skips to News & Events page
Alt/Ctrl + 4 skips to Policies & Resources page
Alt/Ctrl + 5 skips to About Us page
If a menu bar item has focus and the menu is not open, then:
When a menu is open and focus is on a menu item in that open menu, then
If the menu item with focus has a submenu, pressing Enter, Spacebar, or the right arrow key opens the submenu and puts focus on the first submenu item.
When a submenu is open and focus is on a menu item in that submenu:
Home moves focus to the first cell of the current row
End moves focus to the last cell of the current row
Page Up moves focus to the first cell in the current column
Page Down moves focus to the last cell in the current column
Esc exits Actionable Mode
