AccrualNet™: A Unique NCI Resource for Clinical Trial Professionals
Thursday, March 21st, 2013 from
2:00 to 3:30 PM ET
Participant accrual to clinical trials is a critical problem in cancer research. The failure to complete trials in a timely manner inhibits scientific progress, pointlessly exposes participants to potential risks, and drains scarce resources. OCE formative research documented the problem from the clinician’s perspective and established the need for a ‘one-stop shop’ of accrual resources, strategies and support. AccrualNet™ is the NCIs clinical trial accrual knowledge repository and virtual ‘community of practice’ for clinical trial professionals.
Directors, administrators, managers, educators and research staff involved in the clinical trial process can each use AccrualNet™ to support successful accrual. This webinar will introduce the audience to AccrualNet™, demonstrate how AccrualNet™ can be implemented in the academic setting, and define the benefits of participating in a virtual community of practice.
